Encryption

Ooh, spy stuff!

Want to encrypt something so that nobody could ever recover the original text without the encryption key? Well, download PGP! Want to encrypt something so that the average person can’t decode it without minor effort? Try this simple encryption script. It’s not something I wrote myself, just something I borrowed and fiddled with to see how it worked.

Want to give it a try? Place text to encode or decode in the box below and click the appropriate button. You will be prompted for an encryption key, the “password” you will need to use to decode it. You may safely encrypt HTML documents — any tags or commands contained within <brackets> will be left untouched. Punctuation marks are also left as-is. Have fun!
